Hey guys! My name is Daniel or Chan bin and I am from South Korea, specifically from the city, Cheonan. I immigrated to America with my family when I was around 5 years old and settled in La Crescenta, California. Even though I have lived in the States my whole life, I feel as if I don’t truly belong here. Attempting to connect with my Korean culture while in America has led to difficulties in fitting in, with either culture. I believe this is a struggle that a lot of asian-americans face, hence why we are given a 3rd label, distinct from asian or American: asian-american. I hope that through this project TCK, you learn a bit more about the challenges I have faced living in America, as an Asian immigrant.
